The creative side of an average everyday person.
There is something about glass. I attended stained glass classes with my mother back in the 1970's. That is when this relationship started. But alas, I had college to attend and stained glass was not in my educational plan. No room for that studio in a shared apartment. Then work, marriage and babies kept me beyond busy. Skip ahead 20 plus years...
My son's friends were playing on the front porch. One put his hand through the beveled glass panel in the front door. He was unhurt, thank goodness! But, the beveled glass panel was ruined. I had a choice, make a new panel or pay a small fortune for a new clear beveled window. I chose to see if I could still craft glass. After the door panel was installed, I stood and stared at it for more minutes than I care to admit. I fell in love and have not stopped since.
Since I can remember, crafting has been a part of my self expression. Sewing, Doll Making, Beading, Crochet , Knitting, Felting, etc. The bug to craft has filled a room with scrap materials such as fabric, felt and beads, just to mention a few. When it is not too hot outside, I craft stained glass in my studio, I have plenty of options artistically.
